Clarence A. Romans, 83, of North Platte passed away September 10, 2014 at the Callaway Good Life Center. He was born in Arnold, NE to Robert and Hazel “Irene” Blowers Romans on April 3, 1931. Clarence grew up in Arnold, graduating from Arnold High School with the class of 1948. He attended Kearney State College for a year before returning to the family farm. On March 26, 1953 in Hastings, NE he was united in marriage to Lois J. Brown. To this union 4 children were born, Terrie, Sherrie, Tam Allan, and Bonnie. Clarence served in the United States Army in the Korean War. After his discharge he returned home and resumed farming. Due to health reasons, Clarence sold his farm and moved to Lincoln, NE. He volunteered with RSVP at the senior center for over 20 years. In 2010 he moved to North Platte to be closer to his daughters. Clarence was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include 4 children, Terrie Christensen of North Platte, NE, Sherrie Wienke of Madrid, NE, Tam (Sue) Romans of Lincoln, NE, and Bonnie (Charlie) Morland of North Platte, NE; sister, Ruth Chrisp of Auburn, NE; brother, Duane Romans of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Kristin (Vincent) Johnson of North Platte, NE, Tracy (Ryan) Franzen of North Platte, NE, Trenton (Katlin) Wienke of Lincoln, NE, Brady (Hannah) Romans of Lincoln, NE, Kisha Morland of North Platte, NE, Kayla Morland of Omaha, NE, Kurt Morland, and Kasey Morland both of North Platte, NE; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Cash, and Winter Johnson, Chloe & Payzlie Franzen, and Thomas Wienke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Butler, and grandson, Cody Romans.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Arnold United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Black officiating. Burial will follow at the Arnold Cemetery with military honors graveside. Visitation will be noon until 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. There will also be visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday, at the church in Arnold.
