Barbara J. Cassell, age 63 of North Platte, passed away in North Platte on Thursday September 11, 2014.
Barbara was born on November 19, 1951 in North Platte, NE to Wayne and Alberta (Kelley) Deidel. She grew up and attended school in North Platte. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, and was an avid football fan of the Huskers.
Barbara is survived by her children Richard (Teresa) Bates, Michell (Joe Rimply) McLaughlin, Daniel (Amber Buss) McLaughlin all of North Platte; grandchildren Lindsey and Samantha Wernsman, Montana Baird, Abby and Ares McLaughlin; brother Ron (Carolyn) Deidel of North Platte; sister Linda (Del) Skinner of Chester, NE; Aunt Audrey Deidel and Uncle Carl Deidel; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Cassell; and parents Wayne and Alberta Deidel.
A memorial has been established in her name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday September 15, 2014 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Dave Logsdon officiating. Those wishing to do so may sign the register book from noon until 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
