FREMONT, Neb. (AP) — A Fremont-based organization has joined forces with Good Neighbor Community Health Center in Columbus to set up a community health clinic in Fremont.
Community Health Services and Good Neighbor intend to seek grant funding for a federally qualified clinic that would be a satellite operation run by Good Neighbor to serve primarily low-income people in Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties.
Executive director Terra Uhing (YOO’-ing) of the Three Rivers District Health Department says the clinic would be set up at the department’s location in Fremont.
The federal grant application must be filed by Oct. 7 and that officials should hear by May whether the grant was approved. The joint group is seeking $650,000 a year for three years.
