The second production of the 2014/15 season at the North Platte Community Playhouse, Away in the Basement: A Church Basement Ladies Christmas, opens Friday, November 14.
Come celebrate the holidays with the Church Basement Ladies in this all-new musical show filled with their heart-warming humor and wisdom. The year is 1959, and the ladies are putting the final touches on the annual Sunday School Christmas Program. You can almost smell the cookies baking as these ladies dish out more than holiday goodies. “Away in the Basement” is a delightfully funny way to celebrate the holiday season.
The Playhouse is excited to announce that each production will now offer six night of performances. In the past, the majority of NPCP productions have ran for five nights, but, due to demand and busy schedules, an additional performance will be added to each production.
Tickets sales begin Monday, November 10, 2014. Tickets are available at the Playhouse Box Officer Monday-Friday from Noon-5:00, online at www.northplattecommunityplayhouse.com or at the door prior to each performance. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Special group rates are available.
Performances will be held November 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23, with evening performances beginning at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday matinees beginning at 2:00 p.m.
This production is made possible, in part, by the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment of the Arts.
