The Husker women’s basketball team improved their record to 2-0 with an easy 99-53 victory over Mississippi Valley State last night at the Devaney Center. Jordan Hooper showed the way for the Huskers with 25 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Lindsey Moore also posted a double-double, scoring 18 points and handing out 11 assists. Freshmen Rebecca Woodberry and Brandi Jeffrey also scored in double figures with 12 points apiece. The Huskers shot the lights out from three-point range, hitting on 14 of their 26 attempts from distance. They held the Devilettes to just 32 percent shooting from the field and won the rebounding battle 49-33. The Huskers return to the court on Friday night, when they welcome USC to the Devaney Center.
