COZAD, Neb. (AP) — A 21-year-old Cozad man has died in a single-vehicle crash in central Nebraska.

Jacob Kappes was driving a 1999 Chevy K2500 pickup on Saturday when he lost control and slide through an intersection. The vehicle rolled into the ditch and Kappes was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they do not believe Kappes was wearing a seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing.
