The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office took part in the national “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose” campaign during the last half of December.

According to a news release, deputies made 227 traffic stops during the campaign.

They say five drivers were cited for driving while intoxicated and three minors were cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.

Additionally, 12 subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana and 11 were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say numerous other citations and warnings were issued during the campaign.
