A Tuesday traffic stop for speeding on Interstate 80 in Hamilton County led to the seizure of 58 lbs. of marijuana and one arrest.

Just after 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2015 Chevy Suburban for speeding about a mile east of the Giltner exit on I-80 in Hamilton County. An NSP canine indicated to the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the SUV led to the seizure of 58 lbs. of marijuana. The marijuana was located in three duffle bags in the cargo area of the SUV.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, George B. Kuckly,44, Nevada City, Calif., was lodged in the Hamilton County Jail on a charge of Possession of a Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.
