OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A demonstration honoring three Omaha shooting victims killed when gunmen opened fire on a party this weekend had to be cut short when a fight started.
Roughly 100 people gathered Sunday afternoon to walk through the neighborhood and remember the victims of Saturday’s shooting that also injured five others.
Through most of the 45-minute prayer walk, participants were consoling family members of the victims and hugging.
But near the end of the event a fight started.
Several cars of Omaha police officers responded quickly to the incident and helped disperse the crowd.
Police continue investigating the shooting, but did not release any updates on the case Sunday.
