The North Platte Community College Lady Knights and Knights travel to McCook on Wednesday, January 28 to play the McCook Community College Indians at the Peter and Dolores Graff Events Center.

The women’s game is a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference (NCCAC) game.

The Lady Knights come into the game with a 10-9 overall record and 1-1 in the NCCAC. The Lady Knights are led in scoring by sophomore April Stull of Sweeny, Texas with an average of 15.7 points per game.  Stull currently is third in scoring in Region IX Division II.  Stull also leads the Lady Knights in rebounding with 9.2 rebounds per game, which leads Region IX Division II. Aliyah Brown is the only other Lady Knight to average in double figures in scoring with 10.1 points per game.  Brown is second in Region IX Division II in steals with 3.7 steals per game.

The Lady Indians are 12-10 overall and 1-1 in NCCAC play.  Chante Church leads the Lady Indians in scoring with a 20.2 points per game.  Church is currently second in Region IX Division I – South in scoring and 14^th in the nation in scoring. The only other Lady Indian to average double figures in scoring is Lucia Archuleta.  Archuleta is averaging 12.9 points per game.  Kendra Baucom leads the Lady Indians in rebounding with 14.5 points per game, which is third in the nation in rebounding.

The men’s game is a crucial matchup for both teams in the Region IX South Sub-region standings.  The Knights are currently tied with Northeastern Junior College for the number one spot in the sub-region.  The Indians are currently in fourth place.  The top four seeds in the sub-region hosts first-round games in the Region IX Tournament at the end of February.

The Knights are 17-4 on the season and 8-1 in Region IX play.  They are led in scoring by sophomore Cameron Williams of Omaha with a 23.1 points per game average.  Williams is leading Region IX in scoring and is 8^th in the nation.  Marco Pascolo, 11.8 points per game, and Shyquinn Dix, 11.3 points per game are the other two Knights averaging in double figures.  Pascolo leads the team in rebounding with eight rebounds per game.

The Indians are 13-8 overall and 5-4 in Region IX. The Indians have five players averaging in double figures led by Clint Thomas, who is averaging 17.8 points per game. Thomas is third in Region IX- South in scoring. Thomas also averages 6.8 rebounds per game to lead the Indians.  Hakim Davis is second on the Indians with a 13.7 points per game average.  Former North Platte High School and Papillion – La Vista standout Trey Moore is averaging 13.2 points per game and 5.2 assists per game.  The other two Indians to average in double figures are Dominic Cain, 12.0 points per game, and Karim El-Amin, 10.6 points per game.
