OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police say officer involvement is suspected in a shooting that has hospitalized one woman.

Deputy Chief Dave Baker said the incident is being investigated as an officer-involved shooting. A call for shots fired came in around 4:50 p.m. and was later upgraded to a shooting when police said a woman was hurt.

The woman was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.

Baker says there were several witnesses on the scene.

The woman’s name and other details about the shooting haven’t been released. Police say investigation is ongoing.
