Victor W. McMullin

Victor W. McMullin, 90, of North Platte, passed away February 18, 2015 at North Platte Care Center. He was born August 10, 1924 to Victor F. and Vida (Liken) McMullin at Lucas, KS. At the age of six, the family moved to Denver, CO, where Victor attended school. On Sept. 19, 1942, Victor enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during WWII, until his honorable discharge on Dec. 21, 1945. He was united in marriage June 23, 1946, to Lois Lister in Denver. They moved to Arvada, CO then to Cheyenne, WY, where Victor was employed by Union Pacific Railroad, as a brakeman, retiring in 1984. In 2010, they moved to North Platte. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Cheyenne, VFW and the UTU. Victor is survived by his wife, Lois of North Platte; a son, Paul (Robin) McMullin of North Platte; two daughters, Bonnie L. Long and Raylene L. McMullin both of Cheyenne; 11grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Everett; and a sister, Marlene.
