The Nebraska men’s basketball team dodged a major bullet at the Devaney Center last night. Dylan Talley’s jumper with 10 seconds left gave the Huskers a narrow 51-50 victory over lowly Florida Gulf Coast University. The visiting Eagles were unable to get a shot off at the buzzer, allowing Nebraska to escape with the win. The Huskers trailed by as many as seven in the first half but closed the halftime deficit to one at 27-26. Nebraska led by six in the second half, but Florida Gulf Coast came back and took a one-point lead with 1:23 to play, setting up Talley’s heroics. The junior guard led the huskers with 14 points on the night. Brandon Ubel added 10 points. The Huskers snap a two-game losing streak and improve their record to 5-3 on the season. They host TCU on Saturday night.
