Chief Says Firefighter Injured in Omaha House Fire

OMAHA-FIRE-AND-RESCUE-BADGEOMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a firefighter has been injured after responding to a house fire in Omaha.

Chief Bernie Kanger with the Omaha Fire Department says the firefighter was taken to Nebraska Medicine with injuries following the fire Saturday night. The firefighter issued a distress call and was retrieved by a team.

Additional information about the firefighter or the injuries has not been released.

Several fire crews responded to the fire.
