HARTINGTON, Neb. (AP) – A 37-year-old man has been convicted of sex assault and incest in northeast Nebraska’s Cedar County.
A news release from the office of Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning says the man was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault and two counts of incest. Sentencing has been set for Feb. 13. The maximum prison penalties for the four felony counts add up to 140 years.
Prosecutors say the man began assaulting the girl when she was 6 years old.
The Associated Press is not using the man’s name, to protect the privacy of his victim.
