Forty-eight area seniors took to the basketball floor for one last game on Friday night in the Mid-Plains Area All-Star game at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium. In the girls game, the black team all-stars led wire to wire in a 51-30 win.  Toni Caudillo of North Platte St. Pat’s led all scorers with eight points. Taylor Vasa of Arthur County had a game-high ten rebounds for the Gold Team.

The boys game was close throughout until the Gold Team pulled away late for a 91-76 win. North Platte’s Shane Mauch led all scorers with 18 points, including five three-pointers. Daniel Arp of Hitchcock County (Gold) and Brooks Coleman of Valentine (Black) each had 7 rebounds to lead their respective teams.
