NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) — Two men who authorities say contributed to the alcohol-related death of a 17-year-old boy in Lincoln County have been sentenced.
The body of Chandler Snyder was found in a camper trailer in November 2013. Authorities say he’d been drinking heavily.
Twenty-year-old Logan Johnston was convicted of procuring alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a child. On Monday Johnston was given 60 days in jail.
Twenty-eight-year-old Martin Hanson was convicted of negligent child abuse, procuring alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Hanson was sentenced to two years of probation. He also must report to county jail on Dec. 14 this year and next to serve 48 hours in jail. Dec. 14 was Snyder’s birthday.
