LA VISTA, Neb. (AP) — Investigators say a Papillion man has died after the car he was driving hit a power pole in La Vista, just southwest of Omaha.

La Vista police say 29-year-old Alex Shives was killed in the 5 a.m. Saturday crash.

Shives was heading westbound on West Giles Road, apparently lost control and hit a utility pole near Westport Parkway.

Shives was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a seat belt.
