OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a woman has died after her speeding car rammed into two poles and came to rest near the Omaha Home for Boys.

The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Monday.

Police say the woman was speeding east on Sprague Street near North 52nd Street before her car ran over an embankment and hit the poles.

Omaha police identified her as 48-year-old Dierdre Toombs.
