BELDEN, Neb. (AP) — A 74-year-old Randolph man has died in a two-vehicle crash in the northeast corner of Nebraska.
Delbert Stevens died at the scene of the accident that occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Friday one mile west of Belden.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office says Stevens was driving a pickup eastbound on Highway 20 when the truck crossed the center line and collided head on with a westbound semi-trailer truck driven by a 23-year-old man from Canada.
Investigators say Stevens was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The semi driver was taken to a Norfolk hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
