Extreme athlete and skydiver Felix Baumgartner will add the unofficial title of fearless today once he finishes a 23-mile free fall from the edge of space.

According to the live stream:

Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Supported by a team of experts, Felix Baumgartner will undertake a stratospheric balloon flight to more than 120,000 feet / 36,576 meters and make a record-breaking freefall jump in the attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall (an estimated 690 miles / 1,110 kilometers per hour), while delivering valuable data for medical and scientific advancement

There’s been a delay due to high winds at around 700 ft. At around 10:00am there should be some action!

On October 5^th at around 12:30am, 911 received a very calm sounding call from 17-year-old Jake Evans, claiming he killed his 48-year-old mother and his 15-year-old sister with a .22 revolver. A family of six reduced to a family of four.

The suspect’s father was away on a business and his two other sisters were not at home at the time of the killing in Aledo, Texas.

When the suspect called 911 he said:

“I am pretty, I guess, evil…whatever,”

He was asked why he did it while on the phone with the dispatcher, he mentioned that he wasn’t really mad at them, but he did kind-of-sort-of plan on killing them. In the end, Evan explains he didn’t like their attitudes.

“I don’t know…it’s weird,”

“I wasn’t even really angry with them. It just kind of happened. I’ve been kind of planning on killing for a while now.”

 

“I don’t really like people’s attitude. They’re … verbally rude to each other and stuff like that”

The biggest concern Evans expressed seems to be the nightmares he might have. He asked the dispatcher if she could inform him of any medications that prevent “nightmares and stuff like that”.

“I’m really worried about, like, nightmares and stuff like that,”

Continuing,

“I don’t mean to sound like a wimp or anything, but this is, wow, I’ve never, like, done anything violent in my whole life.”

 

After a 25 minutes on the phone with 911 dispatch, Jake Evans was arrested and is charged with capital murder on no bail.

A study out of Hiroshima University in Japan suggests that if a person is looking at pictures of cute baby animals, they will take more time and care on a project or task afterwords thus increasing performance of tasks by an adorable 10%.

It’s believed that when you look at the cute picture, you trigger emotions that are associated with motivation through joy or pleasure.

Apparently, viewing images of yummy foods didn’t have the same effect.

There you have it, the author of the outrageously hurtful email that was sent to Wisconsin TV anchor Jennifer Livingston.

His name is Kenneth Krause, a personal injury lawyer who obviously works on his fitness. He might have become the most hated man on the internet for the next few weeks; his inbox must be full of hate mail much similar to the one he sent Livingston.

The day after Livingston presented her-four minute response, [that sparked a viral video infection of everyone’s news feed] Krause issued a statement:

Given this country’s present epidemic of obesity and the many truly horrible diseases related thereto, and considering Jennifer Livingston’s fortuitous position in the community, I hope she will finally take advantage of a rare and golden opportunity to influence the health and psychological well-being of Coulee Region children by transforming herself for all of her viewers to see over the next year, and, to that end, I would be absolutely pleased to offer Jennifer any advice or support she would be willing to accept.

Livingston invited Krause to talk about his issue with her weight face-to-face. Krause rejected the offer.

CBS News Reporter Jennifer Livingston out of Lacrosse Wisconsin, received a pretty mean email that pointed out her appearance and stated that she is a poor public figure because of that. More specifically the email mentioned that she is a poor role model, and that rocked because her response is equal to every other inspiring, feel good or feel better example on the internet. She instantly turned into the #1 role model on live television while reaching right through the camera, through the TV, into the living room of the man who wrote that email and verbally slapped him stupid.

The “Gangnam Style” craze has reached Thailand’s navy, which is among the latest to mimic the globally popular dance video.

In a video posted to YouTube, a few dozen smiling sailors from the Third Naval Area Command perform the rodeo-style dance and other hip-shaking moves at their base on the popular tourist island of Phuket.

Lt. Cmdr. Patiroop Khemtis said Friday officers took three days to film and edit the video, instructing participants to mimic the moves in the original video by South Korean singer PSY. It was shown at the base’s annual party Wednesday and posted to YouTube the next day.

The video shows white-uniformed sailors in sunglasses galloping through their offices and officers in scuba gear shimmying up the beach.
