Occupy NP live at Shopko – Ringing The Bell!
Occupy North Platte will be ringing the bell for The Salvation Army at Shopko this Saturday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Please come and show your support for North Platte! We encourage other Occupy Supporters to contact The Salvation Army to pick up some extra ringing time as they are in need of volunteers. This is also a great time to meet one another, hope to see you there!
Black Friday.. Did Ya Do It?
I have a number of friends who went Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving Thursday. I didn’t see too many people post they were happy with the deals. My friend Pete Currie from Massachussetts posted: “Wasted my time by going to the Outlets last night. Most of the deal that were going on last night were the same ones going on all week. 40% mostly.”

(OPINION) Welcome to Cyber Sheep Monday
After spending all of your hard earned money on Chinese made gifts for your family, big corporations still want more. Luckily, we have Cyber Monday. Since you don’t have to physically fight to get your gifts this time, relax and think about where you’re are buying your products online today. Keep in mind that items made elsewhere are not benefitting the United States. It should be illegal for these major companies to send all of our jobs over seas to avoid American taxes but yet they still want American dollars. Also keep in mind that the countries you buy from don’t all have Human Rights Laws in place so they could have been made by children in sweatshops. Most Americans brought in less money this year yet these stores saw higher sales compared to the year before. Someone is doing their job right. They got Americans to buy more of their crap with money we didn’t even have. U.S.A.!! U.S.A.!! We are the best at helping China and every other country but our own!!

My rant is people that can’t DRIVE. I see it every day. People that drive the wrong way down the ones. People that drive at 9pm without their headlights. People driving recklessly.
It’s not right and its not safe. Pay attention people!
