Wallace Wildcat Sports Update – January 16

The Wildcat and Lady Wildcat basketball teams are gearing up for the RPAC tournament beginning this Saturday. In the meantime, the boys will hope to start a new winning streak while the girls aim for further improvement. Hear all about it in this week’s Wallace Wildcat sports update!

Lady Sailors, Lady Longhorns Advance in SPVA Tourney

The Sutherland Lady Sailors and Chase County Lady Longhorns advanced to the semifinals of the SPVA girls basketball tournament with victories last night. Chase County edged Perkins County 37-36, and Sutherland routed Maxwell 74-28. Tonight in the SPVA boys basketball tournament, semifinal action will pit top-seed St. Pat’s against Perkins County at 6 PM, and second-seed Chase County against Hershey at 7:30.

Sutherland Sailor Sports Update – January 15

The Sutherland Lady Sailors are a big fish in the SPVA pond, but their rivals from St. Pat’s and Hershey aren’t exactly guppies. One of the best SPVA girls hoops tournaments in recent memory gets underway tonight for the Lady Sailors. The Sailor boys are hoping that their SPVA experience leads them to their first win. Brady Eagle Sports Update – January 14

The Brady Eagles and Lady Eagles kept right on winning last weekend, and are hoping to stay hot heading into next week’s Sandhills Conference tournament. SPVA Basketball Brackets Set

The South Platte Valley Association released the brackets for the boys and girls basketball tournaments to be played next week. St. Patrick’s and Chase County are the two top seeds in the boys bracket, while Hershey and St. Pat’s are the top two in the girls tourney.

The bracket can be viewed online here. Tournament play takes place at North Platte Community College starting next Monday.

Brady Eagle Sports Update – January 7

The Brady Lady Eagles are red-hot! Their winning streak continued through the holidays and they’re looking like one of Class D2’s best teams. The Eagle boys are hoping a similar hot streak comes their way soon – hear what their coach is saying about where his team needs to improve. The North Platte boys and girls swim teams competed at the Kearney Invite on Saturday.
