Lincoln – In a season of unbelievable endings, the Nebraska football team finally had one go its way, pulling a 39-38 upset of previously unbeaten No. 6 Michigan State at Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

Playing in front of the 346th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium with a season-high 90,094 fans on hand, Nebraska’s two touchdowns in the game’s final 1:47 rallied the Huskers from a 38-26 fourth-quarter deficit for the victory to match the largest fourth-quarter comeback in school history. Huskers Post Fourth Straight Sweep, 3-0 at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 8 Nebraska volleyball team won its fourth straight match by sweep with a 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 victory at Indiana on Saturday night at University Gym.

AUDIO: NPCC Knights Basketball Win Home Opener

victor lewisThe North Platte Community College Knights opened the home portion of their schedule with an 81-66 win over Fort Carson Army Base on Saturday afternoon at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.

The game was tied at eight when the Knights went on a 7-0 run with baskets by Diontae Champion, Tim Wagner and a 3-pointer by Victor Lewis to make the score 15-8.  The Knights extended their lead to 37-27 with just under three minutes to play for their largest lead of the half.  Champion scored 17 of his game high 29 points in the first half to give the Knights a 40-34 lead at halftime. Warriors stay unbeaten behind another big night from Curry

Denver_NuggetsOAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Stephen Curry led the way once more with 34 points and 10 assists, his supporting cast did plenty to take the pressure off, and the defending champion Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 119-104 on Friday night to stay unbeaten.

NPCC Lady Knights Basketball Lose to Des Moines

npccThe North Platte Community College Lady Knights Basketball team were defeated 81-56 by the Des Moines Area Community College Lady Bears on the first day of the Hawks Classic on Friday.

I-Back Stevenson, lineman Finnin leaving Nebraska

huskers logoLINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Freshman running back and kick returner Jordan Stevenson and senior offensive lineman Matt Finnin have left the Nebraska football team.

An athletic department spokesman confirmed the players’ departures Friday.

Stevenson showed up at Nebraska at the start of preseason practice after he failed to academically qualify for admission to Wisconsin. The four-star recruit from Dallas came out of a planned redshirt year five weeks ago to return kicks. He ran back six kicks in four games and averaged 14.2 yards. Hayward scores 20, Jazz beat Nuggets 96-84

Denver_NuggetsDENVER (AP) — Gordon Hayward scored 20 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, and the Utah Jazz pulled away late to beat the Denver Nuggets 96-84 on Thursday night.
