Huskers Complete Saturday Night Scrimmage

Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska football team completed another 2015 Fall Camp practice Saturday night, as the Huskers scrimmaged for just over two hours inside of Memorial Stadium on a beautiful night in Lincoln. The Huskers were split between offense and defense and ran approximately 100 plays during the scrimmage.

NU head coach Mike Riley met with media members following the scrimmage, and Riley mentioned that the scrimmage went well for both sides of the ball—but there is still room to grow. Continue reading “Huskers Complete Saturday Night Scrimmage”

Nebraska adding high school sports for disabled students

NSAA logoLINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska will begin offering high school sports championships for disabled students competing with partners.

The Nebraska School Activities Association will add the new championships next year.

Kauffman StadiumKANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Five-time All-Star Mike Sweeney was inducted into the Royals’ Hall of Fame on Saturday night, shortly before AL Central-leading Kansas City played the Los Angeles Angels.

Palmer perfect in brief return, Daniel leads Chiefs to win

Kansas City Chiefs LogoGLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona’s Carson Palmer was flawless in a brief appearance, Kansas City backup Chase Daniel threw for three touchdowns and the Chiefs beat the Cardinals 34-19 in the teams’ preseason opener Saturday night.

Osweiler leads 5 scoring drives, Broncos beat Seahawks 22-20

DenverBroncosSEATTLE (AP) — Brock Osweiler completed 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, leading Denver to scores on all five first-half possessions as the Broncos opened the preseason with a 22-20 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Friday night.
