East Lansing, Mich. – On a day when Jeff Chesnut tied Steve Hale’s school record with his 87thcareer appearance, the Nebraska baseball team (29-16, 10-6 Big Ten) took the series opener at #24 Michigan State (30-12, 10-6 Big Ten) with a 6-3 victory. North Platte HS boys soccer earns wildcard bid to state tournament

np soccerThe North Platte High School boys soccer team has earned the lone wildcard bid to the Class A State Tournament. The Bulldogs (12-5) are the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 2 seed Omaha South (15-2) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12 in the first round in Omaha.

It’s the first state tournament berth since 2004 for the Bulldogs boys soccer team, and their fourth overall appearance in school history (2004, 2001, 1998).
