Hope Wilke breaks NPHS shot put record at Don Bader Invite

North Platte Bulldogs Boys Track & FieldHope Wilke broke the NPHS shot put school record at the Don Bader Invite in Lexington with a mark of 40-feet 9-inches. The Lady Bulldogs brought home 9 medals, including a gold medal for Madison Raska in the long jump. The boys team won 10 medals overall.

Lincoln – Sophomore Jake Meyers hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning and earned the win on the mound in Nebraska’s (25-15, 7-5 Big Ten) series clinching 4-2 victory over Nicholls State (17-24, 7-11 Southland) on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field. Manhattan, Kan. – The Nebraska baseball team (23-14, 7-5 Big Ten) notched its first extra-inning win of the year and snapped a five-game losing streak on Tuesday night with a 5-1 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats (16-21, 3-9 Big 12) in 11 innings at Tointen Stadium.
