The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team snagged its second bull riding win in a row over the weekend.

Colter Glendy, of Oconto, was first in the event during the 58th annual University of Nebraska–Lincoln Rodeo on Friday and Saturday in Lincoln. Trey Engel, of Silver Creek, placed second. Continue reading “Glendy wins bull riding”

Register Now for NPHS Volleyball Skills Camp, May 24-26

North Platte VolleyballThe North Platte High School volleyball team will be hosting their summer volleyball skills camp for girl’s going into 3rd–9th grade this fall 2016-17 school year.

3rd–5th graders report from 9:00 – 11:00 am and 6th–9th graders report from 1:00 – 3:30 pm at the Dawg House at North Platte High School.

You can pick-up camp brochures at any of the sporting goods stores in North Platte or at the North Platte High School offices. Walk-ins are welcome but preregistration is greatly appreciated.

The cost is $30.00 and includes a camp t-shirt.

Proceeds from the camp will help North Platte High School volleyball players attend summer camps.

Ann Arbor, Mich. – After winning its first three Big Ten Conference series of the year, the Nebraska baseball team (22-13, 7-5 Big Ten) was swept by the #22 Michigan Wolverines (24-9, 6-2 Big Ten), dropping the series finale 6-1 on Sunday at the Wilpon Complex. It’s the first time Nebraska has been swept in a three-game Big Ten series since April of last season when it went 0-3 at Iowa. Lincoln – Kyle Kasun’s interception on the final play brought the White team (defense) all the way back for a 46-41 victory on a perfect day for football in Nebraska’s Red-White Spring Game in front of 72,992 fans on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
