Evanston, Ill. – Nebraska’s comeback fell short Sunday afternoon, as the Huskers fell at Northwestern, 65-54, in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Nebraska (14-17, 6-11 Big Ten) trimmed a 20-point deficit to 55-49 with 4:03 remaining after a pair of Shavon Shields free throws, but could not get closer, as the Wildcats held on down the stretch. Continue reading “Husker Comeback Falls Short”

Dudley Takes Runner-Up Honors at Big Tens

Iowa City, Iowa – All-American TJ Dudley (184) fell to No. 3 seed Sammy Brooks of Iowa, 6-4, to take runner-up honors in the Big Ten Championships at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Huskers Drop Doubleheader at #20 Long Beach

Long Beach, Calif. – The Nebraska pitching staff gave up just four runs over 22.0 innings in a doubleheader on Saturday at Blair Field, but NU’s offense was held to one run on the day and the Huskers dropped both games of the double dip to the No. 20 Long Beach State Dirtbags. Indianapolis – Natalie Romeo tied her own Nebraska Big Ten Tournament record by knocking down seven three-pointers, and Allie Havers added her second straight double-double, but it wasn’t enough as the Huskers suffered a 66-63 loss to Rutgers in their opening game of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Sign Eckhout

North Platte –The North Platte Community College Lady Knights Volleyball team has signed Jessica Eckhout from Amherst.
