LANE GARRISON EYED IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DISPUTE: Lane Garrison is being investigated in an alleged domestic violence incident. TMZ.com reported that police reported to the actor’s Beverly Hills apartment on Saturday night, but were unable to find him once they arrived. Less than two months ago a similar incident occurred, but Lane blamed the argument with his girlfriend on a misunderstanding. LINDSAY ‘BANS HERSELF’ FROM HOTEL: After two troublesome incidents this month, Lindsay Lohanhas finally decided to stay away from The Standard Hotel. After an alleged brawl and a drink-throwing debacle, sources told TMZ that Lohan realizes that she’s a target for people who want money or quick publicity. While she’s apparently not swearing off clubbing in general, she has vowed to stay away from the Standard, where both incidents took place.

BLAKE AND RYAN GO COUNTRY: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have purchased a “beautiful country home” in Bedford, N.Y. People magazine reported that the couple has been enjoying life away from the city and shelled out $2 million for the new property. According to People, they’ve been seen around town doing everything from horseback riding, to buying chocolate milk and dining at the Bedford Post Inn.

CHARLIE AND DENISE: BFF? Charlie Sheen was psyched to have his ex-wife Denise Richards on the set of his new comedy, Anger Management. Richards filmed her previously announced guest spot last week, which Sheen chronicled on Twitter. Charlie posted a black-and-white photo of himself looking at Richards, writing, “Incredible day on the set of #AngerManagement! What’s better than having @DENISE_RICHARDS on the set?!? Not much.”

NEW EMMY STRATEGY FOR JANUARY JONES: January Jones is hoping that a new strategy might net her an Emmy. The 34-year-old Mad Men star submitted herself for supporting actress in a drama after years in the lead category. According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Her decision to jump categories follows the lead of [co-star Elisabeth] Moss, who switched from lead to supporting in 2010, then back to lead in 2011. The moves helped to net Moss three consecutive nominations for the role of Peggy Olson — though, like fellow nominees Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery and Jones, Moss has never taken home gold.”

 SHIA LABEOUF: AUTHOR? Shia LaBeouf is embarking on a new career as a graphic novel author. The actor surprised comic book fans at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo last weekend after setting up a table to sell and sign his books, including “Stale N Mate, Cyclical” and “Let’s… Party.” He told Peoplemagazine of the venture, “I just did it for fun. I had some downtime and I’ve always been a big fan of comic books… I’ve said it’s like singing in the shower. It’s very free and without edit.”

MATTHEW PERRY GETS HALF SEASON ORDER FROM NBC: Matthew Perry is heading back to NBC. PerezHilton.com reported that his former network has ordered a half season of Go On, Perry’s new half-hour sitcom. Go On revolves around Perry’s sportscaster character as he tries to “move on from a loss and finds solace from the members of his mandatory group-therapy sessions.”

WEEKEND WRAP-UP

The Hunger Games’ streak as the Number One movie finally ended this weekend after four weeks, as it was topped by the debuts of Think Like a Man and The Lucky One — both of which beat expectations — and fell to third place.

 Opening in first place was the romantic comedy Think Like a Man, based on comedian Steve Harvey’sdating-advice book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. The movie follows four couples trying to work out their relationship issues after the women buy Harvey’s book and take his advice. Starring are Gabrielle UnionKevin HartMichael EalyLa La AnthonyMeagan Good, Chris Brown and Taraji P. Henson. Harvey, who executive produced, has a small role playing himself.

Debuting at Number Two was the romantic drama The Lucky One, based on a 2008 best-selling book byThe Notebook author Nicholas Sparks. It stars Zac Efron as a U.S. Marine who returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, convinced that he was kept safe and alive by a photograph of a beautiful woman he found in the war rubble. When he finds the woman, played by Taylor Schilling, and begins working at her family’s business, a romance blossoms between them. Co-starring are Blythe DannerRiley Thomas Stewartand Adam LeFevre.

  • Disney’s nature documentary, Chimpanzee, opened in fourth place. Narrated by Tim Allen, the film follows a baby chimpanzee named Oscar and his family in the forest.

JONATHAN FRID DEAD AT 87: Actor Jonathan Frid has died at the age of 87. Frid was a trailblazer in the vampire genre — playing bloodsucking Barnabas Collins on ABC’s Dark Shadows from 1966 to 1971.DigitalSpy.com reported that he died from natural causes in Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Tim Burton recently created a movie version of Dark Shadows, which is set to open on May 11.

KIM KARDASHIAN CLEARS UP MAYOR REPORTS: Kim Kardashian’s rep won’t confirm or deny the reality star’s recently expressed desire to become the mayor of Glendale, CA, a largely Armenian community. When asked about Kim’s true intentions, her publicist said, “Kim has always looked for opportunities to grow and also do what she can to help and support the Armenian community. She’s learning more about ways in which she can help to do her part to make a difference in the community.” Kim first made the comments on Khloe and Lamar, telling her sister she plans to move to Glendale and establish residency there.

NEW MAN FOR JENNY MCCARTHY? Jenny McCarthy is reportedly dating Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher. Jenny played coy when asked about the rumors, saying only, “I’m interested in someone.” When pressed if the “someone” was a football player, Jenny told reporters, “I don’t know what you guys are talking about. Um, you know, we shall see.”

RYAN O’NEAL IN PATERNITY SCANDAL: A woman claims that 70-year-old Ryan O’Neal is the father of her two-month-old baby. RadarOnline.com reported that Jessica Zellars, 35, claims she and O’Neal — who recently announced his cancer diagnosis — had a “brief romantic relationship” in early 2011 after meeting in Malibu that resulted in her pregnancy. Ryan’s rep responded, “This woman’s claim is ridiculous and false. She has been harassing and stalking Ryan. He never had a personal relationship with her. This will be the first time a woman got pregnant without having sex or in-vitro.”

BILL AND GIULIANA HOSTING NEW SHOW: Bill and Giuliana Rancic will be hosting a new NBC reality show produced by Eva Longoria. On Ready for Love, Bill and Giuliana will help give three eligible bachelors a chance to find their soul mates. Longoria said of the program, “This show is about making real connections and the ongoing search for love, something that both men and women can relate to. I am excited to be a part of such an innovative and promising format that will help these great guys find true love.”A-LIST STARS COMING TO CANNES: The Cannes Film Festival will reportedly be another A-list affair this year. GossipCop.com reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are expected to be on hand for hisKilling Them Softly, and both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have films in competition. Other expected attendees include Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman (The Paperboy), Bruce Willis and Bill Murray(Moonrise Kingdom), and Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey. Cannes takes place between May 16 and May 27.

NEW DETAILS ABOUT LINDSAY ON ‘GLEE’: Perez Hilton and Rex Lee will be joining Lindsay Lohan on Glee next month. EOnline.com reported that Perez and Rex will also star as themselves playing judges at the Nationals singing competition. The website reported that Lindsay will be playing a “heightened” version of herself, including “being disappointed she doesn’t get a red chair that whips around like on The Voice.” The episode will air on May 15th.
