(VIDEO) SHINEDOWN PREMIERES ‘BULLY’ VIDEO

Shinedown has released the official music video for “Bully,” the first single from the band’s upcoming fourth album, Amaryllis. The clip was posted at Loudwire on Monday (March 6th) and brings the song’s theme of overcoming adversity to life by interspersing scenes of bullying with footage of the band performing the song.

Loudwire described the clip as covering “both the dark side and the light at the end of the tunnel of a very serious issue from those personally impacted to others that just turn a blind eye, connecting the dots between us all.”

  • “Bully” is already Number One at Active Rock radio.
  • Amaryllis comes out on March 27th and follows up Shinedown’s biggest success yet, 2008’s The Sound Of Madness.
  • That disc sold more than a million copies and produced six hit singles, including a number of rock radio chart-toppers.
  • Shinedown will lead the 2012 edition of the Avalanche Tour. The North American trek will kick off on March 27th in Anaheim, California, with Adelitas WayNew Medicine and Art Of Dying also on the bill.

KATY PERRY looking towards new CD..

Katy Perry has already begun thinking about her next album. She told MTV that she’s aware that not many albums have as much success as Teenage Dream. Katy says she just wants to follow her heart.

  • She said, “I don’t want to give too much away. I also don’t want to play the game of trying to continually top myself because eventually it may not always go as I planned. I may not get to be able to have another #1, so I’m just gonna do what feels right for me artistically. I’m very inspired at the moment, and so I’m gonna follow my heart as I always have and hopefully people will like it.”
  • Meanwhile, Katy appeared on Raising Hope last night — she played a prison guard.

RUDE AWAKENING… Really!

A sixth-grader in Colorado found that out the hard way when cops handcuffed her for being “extremely rude” to a school administrator and a representative of the sheriff’s office.

The teen was spotted walking in the hallway and told an assistant principal she was getting a sweater because she was cold. When pressed further, she said, “I don’t have time for this,” and walked away.

That didn’t go over well, so uniformed deputies were called in, and when the girl remained “rude,” she was hauled off to a juvenile detention center.

PAULA DEEN SUED!

TV chef Paula Deen and her brother Earl W. “Bubba” Hiers are being sued by a former employee of a restaurant they co-own.

Lisa Jackson, who worked as general manager at Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, Georgia, claims she was subjected to sexual harassment and violent behavior at the hands of Hiers. In court documents, she says, “The staff…lived in fear of Bubba Hiers.”

Jackson’s attorney says Deen was informed of the allegations at the time and did nothing about it. Deen is also accused of making racist jokes. She refutes all the claims.

TIM TEBOW “DEFINITELY NOT” DOING THE BACHELOR

Tim Tebow isn’t going Hollywood just yet.

The Broncos QB has responded to reports he’s interested in looking for love on reality TV. He tweets, “Ha ha — rumors can be crazy! Even though I’ve watched the show before, I’m definitely not gonna be on The Bachelor.”

Host Chris Harrison started the speculation when he told Access Hollywood Live that the star was in talks to join the show.

Tim recently signed with Hollywood talent agency WME to handle television or movie offers.

KIRK CAMERON: I SPOKE HONESTLY

Kirk Cameron is still feeling the hate loud and clear after calling homosexuality “unnatural.” In response, the conservative Christian has issued a statement. The Growing Pains star says, “I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it’s my life’s mission to love all people.”

He continues, “I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years — without being slandered, accused of hate speech and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.”

Kirk adds that he’s “been encouraged by the support of many friends (including gay friends, incidentally).”

But one person who doesn’t support him is his one-time TV dad, Alan Thicke — who tweets: “I’m getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can’t be expected to explain everything.” He also writes, “I love Kirk, but I may have to spank him…’tho not in a gay way!”
