Destiny’s Child to Release New Track on Compilation Album

Destiny’s Child is back together — for a new song.

The R&B trio said Thursday they will release a new track called “Nuclear.” The song is the group’s first new offering since 2004.

“Nuclear” will appear on the compilation album, “Love Songs,” out Jan. 29. It features 13 previously released Destiny Child’s ballads, including the hits “Emotion” and “Cater 2 U.”

“Nuclear” was produced by Pharrell, who co-wrote the song with Michelle Williams.

Destiny’s Child, which include Williams, Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland, released its self-titled debut in 1998 with a fourth member. The group’s sophomore album, “The Writing’s on the Wall,” came a year later and garnered multiple hits, but the success also shook up the foursome and Destiny’s Child became a trio.

Imagine A Less Expensive iPhone, Soon A Reality

A cheaper iPhone? A published report says Apple may introduce a less expensive smartphone in an effort to reclaim some of the sales that the company has been losing to handsets running on Google’s Android software.

Wednesday’s story in The Wall Street Journal speculates that Apple could lower the iPhone’s price by equipping the device with an exterior that costs less than the aluminum housing on current models.

The cheaper iPhone could come out as early as this year, or the idea could be scrapped, as has previously happened. The Journal cites unnamed people briefed on the matter.

Apple declined to comment.

Prices for the latest iPhones without a wireless contract currently start at $649. Apple, though, already sells older models at discounts.
