Platte River Mall is gearing up for the annual Fall Craft and Gift Show on October 12th-14th, 2012. Registrations are coming in and there are several new booths to be on the look out for.
“We are very excited to see the registration forms that are coming in. There are new booths that I feel will help draw customers in such as Inked Glass by Sandy, RC cars, and Ruffled Scarves. We will also have our beloved favorites returning this year- The Wrights Roasted Nuts, Tupperware, Tastefully Simple, Paparazzi, and various Homemade crafts,” states Assistant Mall Manager Cassie Condon.
“In an effort to gain more vendors we are flexible with what days they sign up for. Booth space is $25 a day and the vendors can choose which days to sign up for. This has really helped several vendors that have to work on a certain day, they are still able to participate in our show.”
The Fall Craft & Gift Show is held during Mall Hours, which is Friday and Saturday 10am-9pm and on Sunday Noon-6pm.
“We have had several new out of town artists’ sign up this year, which is exciting because it brings something new to the show. This is our final craft show before the Holidays- so in a way it is our kick off to an exciting Holiday season at the Platte River Mall.”
“The Sequel Bookshop/Calendar Shop will also be open during the show! The owner has decided to open on weekends until October 29th. Then the store will be open full Mall hours. We are very excited to welcome them back to North Platte and hope the community comes out to support her.”

Gaga Joins The Puke On Stage Party
Unfortunately we may never know what Gaga had consumed before she performed, much like Beiber’s tweet mentioning milk after his on-stage cookie toss.
But Gaga was a good sport and even tweeted a link to see her puke. For the record she sang through and roughed it out like a camp.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Opens at the North Platte Community Playhouse
The North Platte Community Playhouse is proud to present the musical comedy “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!”
Based on the popular 1988 film, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. Lawrence Jameson makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother’s failing health. After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn’t big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate, wins and the other must leave town. A hilarious battle of cons ensues that will keep audiences laughing, humming and guessing to the end!
This will be the first production of the NPCP’s 2012/2013 Season which is packed with amazing shows that are sure to entertain Central Nebraska. Production dates for “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” are October 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, with Friday and Saturday performances starting at 8:00PM and Sunday matinees at 2:00PM. Justin Beiber Tosses His Cookies On Stage (Gross)
On stage in Arizona Saturday during his “Believe” tour, Beiber wasn’t feeling too great because he let it all out in wet chunky bits rather than in dance. In the video Beiber turns his back to the stage and vomits. Good thing he wasn’t lip-syncing..
The next tweet from Beiber’s Twitter read “And …. Milk was a bad choice! Lol”
He was able to sing a 21-song set, don’t work so hard J-Beib..

No More Party Rock?LMFAO Split..For Now
LMFAO are partying separately for now, but it’s just a break. Redfoo says he and Sky Blu are stepping back from the group to pursue their own interests for a while. Redfoo says they’ve been going strong for five or six years and they want to do what’s natural. For Redfoo, that means coaching a junior tennis player and planning a line of tennis clothes. He has also performed for the USA Gymnastics tour and is working on a song for the New England Patriots.
