Mick Jagger’s affair with David Bowie
A new book is alleging that Mick Jagger and David Bowie really fancied each other. It has been rumored that the two rockers enjoyed an affair back in the day — but a controversial new biography, Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger, by Christopher Andersen truly lays it all out. According to the book, the affair started in the early seventies after Mick and David met in 1973 at one of Bowie’s concerts.
The book says, “Bowie and Jagger were soon spotted everywhere together without their wives: sitting ringside at the Muhammad Ali – Ken Norton bout, hanging out at the London disco Tramp, yelling and stomping their approval at a Diana Ross concert, or just cuddling up together on a hotel room couch. Neither superstar complained when one enterprising photographer snapped the two men in a moment of repose, Bowie tenderly cradling Mick’s head in his lap. Bowie also took Mick to gay films.”
- The book continues to talk about when Angie Bowie, who was married to David at the time — came home to find the two men asleep together in bed. The book says, “By October 1973, the Bowies were living on Oakley Street, just a stroll from Cheyne Walk. Angie had been out of town for a few days when she returned home one morning and went straight to the kitchen to make some tea. The Bowies’ maid, who had arrived about an hour earlier, approached the lady of the house with a peculiar look on her face. ‘Someone,’ she told Angie, ‘is in your bed.’ Angie went upstairs to her bedroom, slowly pushed the door open, and there they were: Mick Jagger and David Bowie, naked in bed together, sleeping. Both men woke up with a start. ‘Oh, hello,’ said Bowie, clearly taken by surprise. ‘How are you?’ ‘I’m fine,’ Angie replied. ‘Do you want some coffee?’ Mick, blinking awake, remained silent. Angie returned a few minutes later with coffee and orange juice on a tray.”
Miranda Lambert Cancels More Shows
On doctor’s orders country star MIRANDA LAMBERT has cancelled a further three shows on her tour as she battles ongoing vocal problems. The House That Built Me hitmaker announced earlier this month she was canceling some tour shows. She had hoped to return to the stage for concerts later this week, but Lambert has now told fans she will not be performing as planned in Alabama and Georgia as she needs more vocal rest.
In a statement, she writes, “I’m so sorry to disappoint the fans that have already bought tickets to see me. I’m taking care of my voice and I can’t wait to get on the road again and bring you a hell of a show.”
The canceled shows will now take place in October.

Brantley Gilbert has another #1 Hit!!
The Valory Music Co. proudly announces a second consecutive #1 hit with “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” for breakout sensation Brantley Gilbert. The GOLD-certified ballad shows a softer side of Country music’s newest bad boy and continues a winning streak set late last year with his first #1 – the GOLD-certified, fist-pumping “Country Must Be Country Wide.”
With his rough-and-tough exterior and moments of vulnerability when referencing the fairer sex, it’s clear why Gilbert has such mass appeal to a variety of fans. Recently, he was also named “Country Music’s Most Eligible Bachelor” in a Taste Of Country poll – besting Kenny Chesney, Chris Young and Scotty McCreery – nabbing the title with over 30% of the votes.
“Man I can’t believe it; this is just so amazing … what an incredible ride this past year has been! I can’t begin to thank everyone involved enough,” said Gilbert. “Thanks so much to Country radio, my management team, the great folks at Valory and most importantly the BG Nation; we are here because of you.”
Later this month, Gilbert will share the third single from his GOLD-certified album,HALFWAY TO HEAVEN. Proving to be a fan favorite, “Kick It In The Sticks,” has surpassed 11.2 million views on YouTube. The hitmaker is currently playing the tune while on tour with Toby Keith.
