DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies will bring back their coaching staff for the 2016 season after a year in which they finished last in the NL West.
Two weeks after manager Walt Weiss said he was returning to the bench, the team announced Tuesday there will be no major changes to his staff. Those coming back include bench coach Tom Runnells, hitting coach Blake Doyle, pitching coach Steve Foster, third base coach Stu Cole, first base coach Eric Young, defensive positioning coach Rene Lachemann and bullpen coach Darren Holmes. COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss says he will return to the dugout next season after meeting with General Manager Jeff Bridich on Tuesday.

PHOENIX (AP) — Chase Anderson pitched effectively into the sixth inning in a combined five-hitter and the Arizona Diamondbacks scratched out a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

DENVER (AP) — Neil Walker had a career-high six RBIs, including a three-run homer, and the Pittsburgh Pirates clinched their third straight playoff berth by beating the Colorado Rockies 13-7 on Wednesday night.

DENVER (AP) — Carlos Gonzalez homered twice for the second straight night, Chris Rusin pitched a complete game and the Colorado Rockies routed the reeling San Francisco Giants 11-3 on Thursday night.
