Rockies bring back coaching staff for 2016 season
DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies will bring back their coaching staff for the 2016 season after a year in which they finished last in the NL West.
Two weeks after manager Walt Weiss said he was returning to the bench, the team announced Tuesday there will be no major changes to his staff. Those coming back include bench coach Tom Runnells, hitting coach Blake Doyle, pitching coach Steve Foster, third base coach Stu Cole, first base coach Eric Young, defensive positioning coach Rene Lachemann and bullpen coach Darren Holmes. Rockies will bring back manager Walt Weiss for another year
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss says he will return to the dugout next season after meeting with General Manager Jeff Bridich on Tuesday.

Anderson leads Diamondbacks to 3-1 win over Rockies
PHOENIX (AP) — Chase Anderson pitched effectively into the sixth inning in a combined five-hitter and the Arizona Diamondbacks scratched out a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

Pirates clinch playoff spot with 13-7 win over Rockies
DENVER (AP) — Neil Walker had a career-high six RBIs, including a three-run homer, and the Pittsburgh Pirates clinched their third straight playoff berth by beating the Colorado Rockies 13-7 on Wednesday night.

Ellis homered and rookie Corey Seager had an RBI single for the Dodgers, whose 17th victory in 22 games reduced their magic number for clinching the NL West title to 10 — pending the outcome of San Francisco’s home game against Cincinnati. Gonzalez hits 2 HRs again as Rockies rout Giants 11-3
DENVER (AP) — Carlos Gonzalez homered twice for the second straight night, Chris Rusin pitched a complete game and the Colorado Rockies routed the reeling San Francisco Giants 11-3 on Thursday night.
