OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Kevin Durant had 27 points and eight assists to help the Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the Denver Nuggets 117-96 on Monday night.

Caron Butler scored 23 points, his highest total since the Thunder added him right after the trade deadline. Reggie Jackson had 16 points and a career-high 11 assists, and Serge Ibaka added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Thunder, who won their fourth straight.

Durant, who was coming off a 51-point game against Toronto on Friday, is averaging 37 points during the winning streak. The Thunder sat point guard Russell Westbrook so he could rest his surgically repaired right knee.

Ty Lawson scored 25 points for the Nuggets, who had won three of four. The Thunder held Denver to 39 percent shooting.

DENVER (AP) — Kenneth Faried had 20 points and Aaron Brooks hit four straight free throws in the final 12 seconds, helping the injury-riddled Denver Nuggets hold off the Washington Wizards 105-102 on Sunday night.

Randy Foye added 17 for a Nuggets team that was missing J.J. Hickson, who suffered torn ligament in his right knee on Friday. Wilson Chandler also didn’t play (strained left hip) and Jan Vesely didn’t return after bruising his rib cage late in the third quarter.

Bradley Beal wound up with 21 points as the Wizards wrapped up a four-game road swing with a 1-3 record. Trevor Ariza scored 15 of his 18 points in the first quarter and John Wall added 15, but also had eight turnovers.

DENVER (AP) — Aaron Brooks had 27 points and a career-high 17 assists to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Detroit Pistons 118-109 on Wednesday night for their fourth win in five games.

Randy Foye added 22 points, Kenneth Faried had 14 and J.J. Hickson had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggets, who were without Ty Lawson (sinus infection) and Wilson Chandler (injection to treat hip injury).

Greg Monroe scored 22 points to lead the Pistons, and Rodney Stuckey added 18.

Trailing by seven at the half, the Nuggets used a 10-2 run to take an 85-84 lead into the fourth quarter. Denver used another 10-2 surge to increase the lead to 104-91 with 6:04 left.

After the Pistons pulled within four in the final minute, J.J. Hickson had a layup and Anthony Randolph converted a three-point play to secure the Nuggets’ win.

DENVER (AP) — Reserve J.J. Hickson had 21 points and Ty Lawson scored eight of his 19 in a late fourth-quarter run, helping the Denver Nuggets end the Los Angeles Clippers’ 11-game winning streak with a 110-100 victory Monday night.

The Clippers’ streak was tied for second-longest in franchise history. Their longest, 17 in a row last season, also was snapped by Denver at Pepsi Center.

Kenneth Faried added 18 points and 16 rebounds in a duel in the paint against Blake Griffin, who finished with 26 points and 12 boards.

Down 98-96 with 4:21 remaining, Lawson hit a 3-point to give the Nuggets a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. It was part of a 14-2 run to close out the game. The Clippers didn’t score again after DeAndre Jordan’s dunk at 3:31.

ATLANTA (AP) — Paul Millsap had 24 points and 11 rebounds, Jeff Teague added 15 points and 10 assists and the Atlanta Hawks rallied for their third straight win with a 97-92 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.

Kenneth Faried finished with 25 points and Wilson Chandler scored 12 for the Nuggets.

Kyle Korver, who hit a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to make it 96-92, scored 18 points and Pero Antic added 16 for Atlanta.

Ty Lawson, Denver’s leading scorer this season, handed out 11 assists, but went 0 for 12 from the field and finished with two points.

Before winning Monday at Utah, the Hawks had lost 14 of 15 to drop from third to eighth in the Eastern Conference.

MIAMI (AP) — Kenneth Faried scored 24 points, Darrell Arthur led a big effort from Denver’s bench with 18, and the Nuggets beat the suddenly reeling Miami Heat 111-107 on Friday night, handing the NBA champions their fifth loss in six games.

Evan Fournier scored 14, Ty Lawson had 13 and JJ Hickson added 11 for the Nuggets. Denver’s reserves scored 57 points.

Ray Allen scored 22 points for Miami, which fell three games behind Indiana in the race for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. LeBron James scored 21 points, Dwyane Wade added 19, Mario Chalmers had 16 and Chris Andersen scored 14 for the Heat, who turned the ball over 20 times and shot 7 for 24 from 3-point range.

It was only the fifth win for Denver in its last 18 games.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Kenneth Faried scored 26 points and Wilson Chandler added 21 points and 10 rebounds to rally the Denver Nuggets to a 120-112 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

JJ Hickson had 20 points and nine rebounds, and Ty Lawson added 17 points and 12 assists for the Nuggets, who ended a two-game losing streak.

Arron Afflalo led Orlando with 24 points. Nikola Vucevic added 20, but had only four points in the second half. Jameer Nelson scored 19 points and had nine assists in Orlando’s fifth loss in six games.

After trailing by as many as 13 points in the first half, Denver took an 85-74 lead into the fourth quarter. A fast-break layup by JJ Hickson gave the Nuggets a 105-92 lead with 4:49 to play.

The Magic trimmed the deficit to five on two occasions, but got no closer.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Al Jefferson scored 26 points and Kemba Walker added 24 as the Charlotte Bobcats won their seventh straight game at home, defeating the Denver Nuggets 105-98 on Monday night.

Jefferson made 10 of his first 14 field-goal attempts and also had a game-high 12 rebounds. Walker added seven assists for the Bobcats, who also received a big boost from Gary Neal off the bench. Neal made his first six field-goal tries, including three 3-pointers, and ended up with 19 points.

Josh McRoberts added 15 points for Charlotte, including a key 3-pointer with 6:15 left at the shot-clock buzzer to extend Charlotte’s lead to 90-82 after Denver had cut it to five at 87-82.

Ty Lawson scored 24 points to lead the Nuggets.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anthony Davis tied his career high with 32 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked six shots, and the New Orleans Pelicans erased a 16-point deficit to capture their third straight victory, 111-107 over the Denver Nuggets in overtime Sunday night.

Tyreke Evans had 20 points and Anthony Morrow added 14, including a 15-foot pullup in the lane that tied the game at 94 with 1 second left in regulation.

Davis’ free throws gave New Orleans the lead for good at 106-104, and his block of Ty Lawson’s driving layup prevented Denver from tying it with 1:14 left in overtime.

Davis became the first player in franchise history — going back to the club’s founding as the Charlotte Hornets in 1988 — to have as many points, rebounds and blocks in one game.

Kenneth Faried had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Denver.
