Huskers Begin Journey With Nebraska Invitational

The No. 5 Nebraska volleyball team opens the 2015 regular season with the Nebraska Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center this weekend.

The Huskers will host Tulsa on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the season opener. NU will then play Grand Canyon at Noon and Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Each team will play three matches in the round-robin tournament. Continue reading “Huskers Begin Journey With Nebraska Invitational”

Injury Bug Plagues the Huskers

Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska football team was back at it on Tuesday afternoon, as the Huskers practiced for just over 90 minutes in half pads outside on the Ed and Joyanne Gass practice fields.

Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska football team wrapped up Fall Camp on Saturday, as the Huskers scrimmaged inside of Memorial Stadium for two hours. Red Tops White, 3-1

Lincoln – The Red team defeated the White team, 3-1, in Nebraska volleyball’s annual Red/White Scrimmage before 5,148 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday night.

Red won sets one and two by 25-22 scores, then White took set three, 25-19. The teams played a fourth set to 15 with the Red pulling out the 16-14 win. Kadie Rolfzen led the Red team with 17 kills and a .469 hitting percentage. She also added nine digs and four blocks. Continue reading “Red Tops White, 3-1”

The Nebraska volleyball team will hold its annual Red/White Scrimmage on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online or over the phone by calling 1-800-8-BIG-RED or at the Devaney Center ticket office beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Huskers Shutout No. 23 Kansas in Season Debut

Lincoln, Neb.— The Nebraska soccer team’s senior duo Katie Kraeutner and Jaylyn Odermann led the Huskers to a 3-0 win over No. 23 Kansas for the 2015 season opener on Friday night. Nebraska won’t rush Pierson-El back from injury

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska coach Mike Riley is not setting a timetable for De’Mornay Pierson-El’s return from an injury.

Huskers Prominent on FWAA 75th Anniversary Team

Six Nebraska greats were named to the Football Writers Association of America 75th Anniversary All-America Team, the most of any school in the nation.
