Former Huskers Make NFL Preseason Debuts

With six NFL preseason games on Thursday night, a pair of former Huskers made their NFL debuts. Ameer Abdullah has received high praise for his work to this point in Detroit Lions training camp and he backed up that praise with a solid performance in his preseason debut. Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska football team wrapped up another 2015 Fall Camp practice Thursday night as the Huskers practiced outside on the Ed and Joyanne Gass practice fields for about two and a half hours. Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska volleyball team was picked to finish second by the Big Ten coaches in the conference’s preseason poll released on Thursday.

Huskers Tied for Fifth in AVCA Preseason Poll

The Nebraska volleyball team will start the 2015 season tied at No. 5 in the AVCA Coaches Preseason Poll, released on Wednesday.

The Huskers tied Wisconsin with 1,275 points to share the No. 5 spot, the Huskers’ best ranking in the poll since Oct. 29, 2012. Nebraska returns all but one starter from last year’s team, which finished with a 23-10 record, a trip to the NCAA Regional Final for the third straight year and a No. 8 final ranking. Lincoln The Big Ten Conference and ESPN announced Tuesday that Nebraska’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against Miami at Pinnacle Bank Arena will tip off at 8 p.m. (central) on Dec. 1 on ESPNU.

The Big Ten/ACC Challenge features all 14 Big Ten teams in nationally televised games on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Maxwell Selected to USTFCCCA Hall of Fame

Nebraska track and field assistant coach Billy Maxwell will be inducted into the U.S.Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame this December, the association announced on Monday.
