Bubak Reopens Recruitment, Decommits From Nebraska

huskers logoThe top ranked prospect in the state of Nebraska for the class of 2016 may not end up in Lincoln afterall. 2016 tight end Jared Bubak of Lincoln Christian had originally committed to the Huskers under Bo Pelini’s staff and has decided to reopen his recruitment.

Although Bubak could still ultimately sign with Nebraska, the leading candidate to land the 6-4, 240 pound tight end appears to be Arizona State.

Huskers add commitment from Colorado Defensive Player of the Year

Another day, another commitment for the Huskers 2016 class. Add 2016 linebacker from Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs (Colo.) JoJo Domann to the list of Husker verbal commits. He also had 49 receptions for 797 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense. He isn’t yet ranked in the ESPN database but is listed as a 3-star prospect by Rivals and the #2 prospect in the state of Colorado.

Class of 2016 linebacker Greg Simmons originally committed to the Miami Hurricanes, but on Thursday the 6-2, 225 pounds 3-star recruit switched his allegiance to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Simmons currently holds offers from Miami, N.C. State, Louisville, Kentucky and Maryland among others.

As a junior in 2014 at Central High School in Fort Pierce, Florida he recorded 64 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and five sacks. Simmons is ranked as the 13th best Inside Linebacker by ESPN for the class of 2016.
