NPCC Knights Softball Seeded First in Region Tournament

npcc region 9North Platte –The North Platte Community College Knights softball team will be the number one seed in the upcoming Region IX Division II Softball Tournament in Columbus.

The tournament will begin on Thursday, April 28 at 5 pm with the number two seed Central Community College facing the number three seed Southeast Community College.  The winner of that game will advance to play North Platte at 7:30 pm on Thursday. MPCC cowboy headed to nationals

A bareback rider on the Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team is headed to nationals.

Rowdy Moon, of Sargent, won the bareback riding at the Will Lantis Yellow Jacket Stampede in Spearfish, S.D. over the weekend. The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event was hosted by Black Hills State University. Continue reading “MPCC cowboy headed to nationals”

Glendy wins bull riding

The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team snagged its second bull riding win in a row over the weekend.

Colter Glendy, of Oconto, was first in the event during the 58th annual University of Nebraska–Lincoln Rodeo on Friday and Saturday in Lincoln. Trey Engel, of Silver Creek, placed second. Continue reading “Glendy wins bull riding”
