Rockies-Dodgers Preview

The Colorado Rockies entered May on top of the National League West. Tonight, they’re trying to stay out of a tie for third place. The Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers play game two of their three game series at Dodger Stadium tonight. A 7-1 loss last night dropped the Rockies to 8-20 in the month of May and 4.5 games out of first place in the division, just one game ahead of the fourth-place Dodgers. The Dodgers have scored 15 runs in their last two games, while the Rockies have scored just four in the same span. Clayton Mortensen will try and stop the slide for the Rockies on the mound tonight. He’s searching for his second win of the season. The Dodgers will send left-hander Ted Lilly to the hill. Lilly has struggled to a 4.41 ERA this season but beat the Rockies twice in three tries last season. First pitch from the City of Angels is set for 9:10.
