Rockies Begin New Month In Los Angeles

With a miserable month of May behind them, the Colorado Rockies hope their rebounds starts with the first day of June. The Rockies are looking to salvage one game from three against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles tonight. The Dodgers struck for 7-1 and 8-2 victories in the first two games of the series and have tied the Rockies for third place in the National League West. Ubaldo Jimenez’s struggles have mirrored his team’s. The 19-game winner enters June winless, and is coming off one of his worst starts of the season, getting battered for six runs in a loss to St. Louis. Jimenez will be opposed on the mound tonight by Los Angeles’ Jon Garland. Garland hasn’t fared much better than Jimenez, posting a record of 1-4. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action between the Rockies and Dodgers tonight, with pregame coverage at 8:30 and the first pitch at 9:10.
