Lincoln Man Gets Prison for Selling Crack Cocaine

cocaine-jailA Lincoln man has been given prison time for selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer.

A judge on Thursday sentenced 20-year-old Edward Wilkins to six to 10 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to two counts of delivery.

Courts records show Wilkins sold $100 amounts of crack cocaine to an undercover police officer near the east campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The deals happened within 1,000 feet of the campus.

The incidents happened in June and July of last year, while the officer was working with a narcotics task force. Wilkins was arrested in August.
