Neb. Army Veteran’s Family Given a Mortgage-Free Home

army(AP) — A soldier who was wounded in combat and his family received a mortgage-free home to mark Veterans Day on Monday.

The home was presented to Kyle and Brittany Foster at halftime of Monday’s Creighton University basketball game.

Kyle Foster joined the Army in 2010. After he finished his training, he was deployed to Afghanistan where he was wounded.

Once Foster returned home to the Omaha area, he married Brittany, and the couple had a daughter.

The cost of the mortgage is being covered by Chevrolet, the Military Warriors Support Foundation and Chase Bank.
