KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — A Kearney woman accused of leaving her 2-year-old daughter unattended in a car also faces a drug charge.

38-year-old Angel Poore faces a felony charge of distribution of methamphetamine following her arrest Friday. Court records do not list an attorney.

Poore is accused of leaving the toddler unattended in a vehicle outside a store parking lot in Kearney. Authorities say they found Poore inside the store. Three small bags inside the car later tested positive for meth.

An affidavit says Poore told police her teen son was watching the child while she was inside the store. Police were unable to locate him.

The child was not injured. She was later released to family members.

Poore was cited on suspicion of child abuse and shoplifting.
