Gertrude “Trudy” Evers Frye, 86, of North Platte, passed away April 4, 2015 at Great Plains Health. She was born May 23, 1928 to Alphonse and Katherine (McAndrews) Evers in Grand Island, NE. Trudy met DC Frye in Omaha, NE and they were united in marriage, May 6, 1950 in St. Libory, NE.
Trudy was actively involved in community service, continuously volunteered with youth and was an avid card player. She gave freely of her time.
Her love was her family, her husband, four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DC; son, Patrick; granddaughters, Cassie Jo Frye and Brooklyn Feltz; and her sister, Evelyn.
She is survived by her children, Katie (Jeff) Rosenthal, Jim (Rhonda) Frye, Michael Frye and Shari all of North Platte; daughter-in-law, Lynda Frye Brooks of Kearney; grandchildren, Robbie (Angela) Rosenthal, Jamie Frye, Mark Matson, Kacey (Karen) Frye, Nickie (Chad) Keller, Becky (Bo) Feltz, Jenae Curtis, Kris (Tracey) Rosenthal, Brian Frye and Thomas Frye; great grandchildren, Gavin, Bailey, Serenity, Quincy, Ryker, Skyler, Damien, Cooper and Emmett; and also loved by Gloria Anderson, Larren Frye, Jeremiah and Elizabeth Callaghan.

A memorial mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend James Golka as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Memorial book signing will be from 9:00 a.m. until rosary time Tuesday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
