Meredieth L. Daly

Meredieth Lea Conner Daly entered heaven and was healed on April 12, 2015.
She was born in Paxton to William Francis Conner and Phila Mae Melvin Conner on Sept. 30, 1939.
On Jan. 8, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Eugene Daly, in North Platte. This union was blessed with five children, Cameron, Cindy, Kelly, Peggy Jo and Paul.
As a child, Meredieth grew up in different family homes, so when she and Dick were married and created their own family, her heart was full and she gave all of her love and attention to them.
She was a caretaker and, first and foremost, a homemaker. She had a very creative spirit, doing all kinds of crafts, sewing, gardening and painting. With a family to care for, she completed her GED, which she was very proud of.
The joy of her life was young children and her grandchildren have ma-ny fond memories of being on the ranch with her and granddad. There were tea parties, picnics, sleepovers and crafts.
Meredieth was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip; sister, Joy; infant daughter, Peggy Jo; and infant grandson, Heath.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Mullen; sons, Cam (Paula), of Broken Bow, and Paul (Deb), of Mullen; daughters, Cindy Daly, of Lincoln, and Kelly (Will) Donohoe, of Mullen; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Meredieth’s life in the past four years had been an example of faith and strength to her family. We rejoice in those years, when we were able to care for her and return the love that she had given us our entire lives. “Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5.
Memorials are suggested to the Sandhills Cancer Fund, 428 E. Eighth St., Ainsworth, NE 69210, or to Callahan Cancer Center in North Platte.
