NPCC Basketball Players Named to All-Nebraska Team

NPCC Knights LogoEight North Platte Community College Knights and Lady Knights basketball players were named to the All – Nebraska junior college team.  The teams, compiled by the Omaha World Herald was unveiled on Sunday, April 26.

On the men’s team, Cameron Williams and Marco Pascolo were named first team selections.  Williams was named honorary captain of the squad.  Shyquinn Dix, Riley Rice and Matt Thomas were named honorable mention.

On the women’s team, April Stull was named to the second team.  Aliyah Brown and Sarah Mahr were named honorable mention.

The All-Nebraska team is chosen from the six junior colleges in the state of Nebraska.  In addition to North Platte Community College, the other schools are McCook Community College, Western Nebraska Community College, Southeast Community College, Central Community College and Northeast Community College.

Williams recently signed a national letter of intent to play for National Collegiate Athletic Association Division one program Eastern Kentucky University.  Williams was the leading scorer for the Knights this past season, averaging 20.9 points per game

Pascolo has signed to play at the NCAA Division two college, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and major in electrical engineering.  Pascolo led the Knights in rebounding with 7.5 rebounds per game.  He also averaged 10.9 points per game.

Stull led the Lady Knights in both scoring and rebounding has not decided where to play next year.  Stull averaged 15.3 points per game and 8.4 points per game.
