Gary Duane Kilgore, 54 years, of North Platte, NE, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Good Life Center in Callaway, NE.

Gary was born May 23, 1960, to Gary Fay and Sylvia Carol Field Kilgore at David City, NE and grew up in Rising City, NE. While in high school Gary Duane “Scooby Doo” belonged to the Radio Emergency Associated Communication Teams (R.E.A.C.T. Club). After graduating from Rising City High School in 1979 Gary hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad with the Maintenance of Way Department. He worked on jobs in Colorado, California, Kansas and wherever else the railroad sent him for 35 years. Gary liked what he did and loved his cars.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Kilgore, of Columbus, NE; father and stepmother, Gary and Floy Kilgore, of Omaha, NE; his son, Adam Falkingham, of Belgrade, MT; two sisters, Denise (Robert) Wendl, of Parker, CO, and Vicky Kilgore, of Battle Creek, NE; two nieces, Cassandra (Gavin) Coffin and Mikayla Woodard; and other family.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore with Chaplain Gary Smith officiating. Committal service and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in Circle Mound Cemetery 1/2 mile north of Rising City with Ron Lau officiating.

The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements. The family has established a memorial.
